Ross Frazier Photography Blog bio picture

Hello!

Welcome to the Blog of Ross Frazier Photography! Thank you so much for stopping by! I want you to enjoy your visit - so kick off your shoes and settle in your chair for a little while! Here you will find a journal of sorts of my most recent work - from portraits to weddings to what's been going on in my life recently.

As a 20 year old college student, some people are surprised by how far my business has come in such a short period of time. I, too, am often surprised when I look back at the wonderful clients I have had the joy to work with. I enjoy every second of my job! Providing beautiful pictures to each and every one of my clients is my goal; It's something I look forward to doing everyday! Taking pictures is more than pressing a button on top of a black box, it's seeing something within people and capturing that beauty, not just the outward beauty, in a picture that will last for a lifetime and more. This is what photography is for me, and I hope it shows through the following pictures.

Enjoy your time here and come back soon!

Great Bridal Shoots!

I’ve had some WONDERFUL shoots the past few weeks, these are two of my favorites, and here are some images from Both Elizabeth and Lindsay’s respective shoots:

think this one is SO much fun…reminds me of a spanish or dancer or something. haha.

Here’s me, Elizabeth, and our wonderful assistant for the day, Elizabeth’s Friend, Madonna. :D

Welcome to 2009!

Big plans ahead! Changes in personal and business life in my near future! I’ve got new business ventures planned and new prices, packages, and offerings from Ross Frazier Photography!

Other than absolutely delighted, the following self portrait does a pretty good job of expressing just a few of the emotions I felt in 2008…a great year, and this next one will only be better!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

I hope you all have big plans today for the holiday, and if you don’t, then enjoy the relaxation of a day with nothing to do!

I think about all that I’m thankful for all the time, but today is a designated day to truly think it all through. I am so thankful for my beyond amazing family, my wonderful friends, my awesome clients (who might as well be combined with the “wonderful friends” category!), my successful business, my super-rad blog readers, my schooling, my talents, my love, and my future.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving season?

Wishing you all my best; on this day of the year, and the 364 others.

Have a great one,

Ross

Maria “Ferdie” Ayala, mi amiga

My wonderful friend Maria is graduating and going back home to Honduras, for which I am very sad yet very happy for her! I will miss her a ton, but we already have plans for me to go visit her very soon! She talked to me a long time ago about taking her graduating portraits, and I surprised her by giving them all to her as her graduation gift! She is so gorgeous both inside and out; there will be a void in Ruston when she leaves that few others will ever be able to fill. Maria, I love you and congratulations on your graduation!!!

Thanks for looking! Hope you ENJOYED!

Ashley Is Graduating!

I remember my senior year in high school I was a tutor for Geometry (random…I know), but geometry is one of those subjects that is one way during the first half then changes completely in the second half of the class into almost a different subject! So there were a lot of us tutors. But Ashley was one of the people I had the pleasure to work with! Now she is a senior herself, probably acing whatever math class she is in, and heading to graduation really really soon! Congratulations, Ashley, and it was SOOOOO much fun to take your senior pictures!!!

Hope you enjoyed! Have a GREAT day!

The Votes Are In!!!

We have made our decision as a nation! Barack Obama is our new President-Elect!

Whether of not you were for or against Obama, I hope we can all put aside our differences at this point and get behind our new president and help him in the change he has spoken of and promised. I think this is a great chance for our country to move forward, and I think we should grasp it with all our strength and hope for the absolute best for our president-elect, our nation, our world, our people.

Photo posts will continue tomorrow!

Be An Informed Voter!!

Hey, Everyone!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I’m so glad it’s friday, but I’ve got a busy weekend with THREE photoshoots! But y’all should know by now that I’m looking forward to every one of them!!!

Now, I’m going to keep this blog VERY politically neutral, it’s not my place to try to impose anything on anyone.

However, elections *are* coming up and I think it’s important that we all know the facts of each candidate and what they stand for. Which candidate matches best what you believe? Do you feel this man will be the best choice for president? Do you feel their Vice President will succeed in following in their shoes? Below I will provide a few websites for your convenience to look at their previous voting records, among other things.

It’s up to you make the right decision, and I hope these informative sites will help you. Voting is one of the many privileges that we, as Americans, take for granted (or at least a portion of us).  In terms of elections, I believe not voting is the second worst thing you could possibly do; and I believe the worst thing you could do is vote uninformed.

Mark your calendars for November 4, 2008 and make a trip to the polls to vote for our future!

To New York I Went

Last month, I had the absolute pleasure of getting the opportunity to visit New York City to take Alison’s Bridals! She and her husband, Allen, (as of this past weekend) are so much fun, and their hospitality was above and beyond what was necessary, it was was just amazing to spend such quality time with them in such an amazing place as New York.

Alison’s Friends, Alli and Georgia, came along with us on the photoshoot. It was great to have them there as friends make everything more fun! The entire day was a lot of fun for everyone! When we were in central park, we would randomly turn around and people were actually taking pictures of US! So it’s kinda cool to think that we are in some tourists’ vacation pictures! I guess they thought we were famous… ;)

Alison, Allen, Alli, and Georgia: thank you SO much for making my trip to New York the best vacation I’ve had in a long time! Y’all are amazing!

Enjoy the pictures of Alison, and check back soon for the engagements and wedding!
